Frauenfeld, December 2024 – Glatz opens the doors to its newly built company headquarters and production and innovation centre. This is where the iconic Glatz parasols, which have been hallmarks of the European market since 1895, are manufactured with a fresh, future-oriented look – perfectly coordinated and tailored to the needs of design-savvy customers worldwide. “Our new company headquarters demonstrate our commitment to functionality and clear design. We have not only optimised our production process here, but also created a space that offers new opportunities for collaboration with our partners,” says Markus Glatz, Chairman of the Board of Directors and owner of the fourth-generation family business.

Showroom in a premium environment
Special attention was paid to the new showroom, which also functions as a modern training room. It was specially designed to present the high-quality parasols from Glatz in an appealing setting while also offering comprehensive training programmes for sales partners. “Our facilities set new standards in the design industry and strengthen the relationship with our partners through shared learning and experience,” says Markus Glatz. In addition, an exclusive event location with a stylish rooftop bar enriches the new company headquarters. With a panoramic view over Frauenfeld, it serves as the perfect setting for events and promotes networking in a modern atmosphere.
From garden parasols to giant parasols – the spacious training centre at the new Glatz headquarters showcases the company's extensive product range and over 125 years of history.
Commitment to sustainability
Sustainability is more than just a buzzword for Glatz – it plays a key role at the new location. Equipped with a photovoltaic installation and a modern heating system, Glatz AG minimises its ecological footprint and ensures that it covers 53 percent of its electrical energy requirements on its own. “Our sustainable measures show how serious we are about reducing our environmental impact while also creating products that are both functional and environmentally friendly,” emphasises Markus Glatz, who has brought the values of the family business forward into the 21st century. This awareness has always been evident in production. By using environmentally friendly materials and incorporating ecological principles into production, Glatz ensures that its parasols are not only long-lasting and functional, but also environmentally friendly.
